Havana Sky is a Hispanic-Canadian Guitar duo that plays with a variety of exotic rhythms and passionate interpretations. Havana Sky, formerly known as “duo Waqay” is formed by guitarists Alejandro Vega and Gabriela Iznardo. Years of early age classical guitar studies shared together along with the fusion of Alejandro’s Cuban heritage and Gabriela’s Peruvian and Argentinian background has inspired an incredible symbiotic relationship between the two guitars. Specialized in guitar performance, Havana sky has perfected their duality and depicts classical guitar at its finest.

Although they have been playing together for over a decade, 2017 marked the debut of their professional performance career and brought some new and captivating repertoire that is now being shared around all of Canada and Latin America. Havana Sky is being internationally recognized thanks to the release of their first album “Latin Roots” 2018 and their performance at the Ethos International Guitar Festival in the Dominican Republic 2019. Today, Havana Sky is touring Canada with Jeunesses Musicales Canada 2021-2022.
